Hunter Botanic Gardens – 30 mins from Clarence Town 130 hectares of naturally preserved bushland, volunteer run gardens, including a magical orchid house, rare & endangered plants, extensive Australian plants, palms, succulents and a lovely walking tracks & coffee shop.
Jimmy’s Beach, Hawks Nest – 40 mins from Clarence Town and absolutely stunning!
Port Stephens – 50 mins from Clarence Town
Nelson Bay: Whale watching, dolphin cruises, sand boarding, horse riding, fabulous eateries and much more. Visit Port Stephens See and Do for current tour bookings, accommodation & events – there’s always a lot to do at the Bay.
Port Stephens Koalas : A haven for sick and injured koalas and those in long term rehabilitation. This sanctuary relies on our support and is well worth a visit. You can also stay there! We sponsor beautiful Maree, she has lived at PSK since 2017 and can never be realised. After being hit by a car, Maree suffered severe nerve damage and lost her vision. Oakenvale Wildlife Park, Salt Ash : Set on 25 acres of open bushland, Oakvale Wildlife Park has an endless menagerie of Australian native, domestic farm, and exotic animals. It’s well set out an easy to get around, with lots of opportunities to hand feed free roaming animals.
